Hamlin Plantation is located on the east side of Highway 17N, on the Hamlin Sound. The neighborhood is just 7 miles away from your toes hitting the sand on Isle of Palms and is convenient to shopping, restaurants and downtown Charleston. Two entrances to the neighborhood, both off of Rifle Range Road, make coming and going a breeze. A perfect spot in Mt. Pleasant, Hamlin is really a quiet little secret.
This tightly knit community is comprised of 5 subsections:
Madison, The Village, The Sound, Waverly and One Hamlin
Built in 2001, Madison was the first section of Hamlin Plantation. The homes here range from approximately 2,000 square feet (3-4 bedrooms) to 3,200-3,400 square feet (5 bedrooms). All of the detached homes have 2 car garages, either attached or detached. This section also offers 3 different styles of townhomes, both with and without garages.
Waverly is a large subsection in the back of the neighborhood with smaller lot sizes than the other sections. Building in Waverly began in 2004 and was completed in 2015. All of the detached homes here have garages and range from 2,400-4,200 square feet. There are a few marsh-front homes in this section. Waverly also offers small & large townhomes, the latter featuring master bedrooms on the main level and attached garages.
Built between 2001-2006, The Village is a smaller section of homes with larger homesites. Homes in this section are either elevated or built on a crawlspace and all have garages.
The Sound features larger homes, most of which are elevated. Many of these homes are semi-custom or custom-built, situated on roughly half-acre lots and a few have amazing views of the Hamlin Sound. Homes here were built in 2001 and some are still being built on privately owned lots.
One Hamlin is an enclave of luxury
townhomes built between 2012-2014. Most are elevated with drive-under garages, and a select few have attached garages on an elevated crawl space. In the very back of this section, you'll find a cul-de-sac of detached elevated homes, Hamlin Pointe, built between 2014-2016. A few of the homes in Hamlin Pointe have marsh views.
